has successfully increased the success rate
of college applicants."

About the ProgramStudents at Norton High have the opportunity to explore, develop, and demonstrate skills and talents in the oratorical and theatrical arts by competing on the Speech and Debate Team and joining the Drama Club.
The Speech and Debate Team is a competitive activity that gives students the opportunity to attend interscholastic tournaments at area and regional schools. Students at Norton compete in 11 different speech and debate events ranging from poetry reading to traditional debate. The team attends tournaments from November through January, and individuals have the opportunity to advance to post-season competition at Districts in February, States in March, and Nationals in June. The Drama Club is a performance activity that gives students the opportunity to participate in live theatrical productions. Students can audition for an onstage acting role, or they can choose to sign up for a backstage crew or committee. The Drama Club is open to all Norton High School students and produces two to three full-length productions a year. Students can participate in one or both the above activities. For more information on these activities, visit the pages for the Speech and Debate Team and the Drama Club.
